| User Guide/Setup Guide What you need to get connected
1. A SingNet (Dial-up or Broadband account) or SingTel Mobile GPRS account.
2. A notebook, or PDA that meets the requirement of Win 98SE/ME/2000/XP/CE.
3. A (Wi-Fi or IEEE802.11b compliant) Wireless LAN card. Click HERE for the list of approved cards.
4. Install driver on notebook/PDA
5. When at hotspot, customer must change SSID to 'Wireless@SG'. Some Wireless LAN cards such as Orinoco are able to scan available SSID at location.
6. You can also log in to other coverage areas under iCell or Qmax when you are surfing at other zones. The SSID for all 3 operator's coverage areas is the same that is 'Wireless@SG'.
Getting Started
1. Configure the SSID/Network Name of the PCMCIA card client to 'Wireless@SG'.
2. Launch the Internet Browser and request for an URL.
3. A login page will appear to prompt for your SingNet or SingTel Mobile GPRS user ID and Password. For SingNet customers - Type in your SingNet Dial-up / BroadBand User ID, followed by @singnet and your corresponding password
For SingTel Mobile GPRS customers - Your login ID is your mobile phone number, followed by @stm For eg, 91234567@stm - Your password is your IDEAS password or the password you received via *9434 (*wifi) - Click here to find out more on how to sign up for this service. 4. Upon successful authentication, the webpage of your requested URL will appear and you will be connected to Internet. Note: For corporate users, it is recommended to use your Company's Virtual Private Network (VPN) when accessing corporate information and data at the Wireless Surf Zones for added security.
5. To end your internet session, type ‘logout.’ at the URL bar.
